Your roles & responsibilities

  • You will report to the Cryo Product Managers and work closely with them with the goal of making your allocated products successful.
  • Supporting installations and delivering training for new and existing customers. 
  • Consulting with potential customers on sales calls about their needs and the capabilities of our products.
  • Performing product demonstrations and sample measurements.
  • Creating marketing content by writing and presenting relevant information about scientific applications. Further disseminating these applications by attending and presenting at scientific conferences.
  • Development of novel applications for our systems
  • Supporting installations and delivering training for new and existing customers. 
  • As an expert user you will also interact with the software and hardware development teams, providing feedback and input on the system as well as assisting with and driving forward our collaborations with internal and external partners.
  • Contributing to several scientific collaborations with academic labs in developing new microscopy techniques and methodologies.
  • Pay attention to the latest development in the field and contribute ideas towards product improvements.

Your profile

  • MSc or PhD in science - biology, physics or chemistry
  • Experience with light microscopy, (cryogenic) electron microscopy and/or (cryo) FIB
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Highly self-starting, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Able to convey complex technical information to both experts and non-experts
  • Able to travel internationally regularly (up to 35%)
  • Live in, or be prepared to relocate to, the Netherlands
Having experience with any of the following is considered a bonus:   
  • Experience with programming
  • Experience with optical microscopy and spectroscopy
